Brandy Newton is a singer-songwriter with strong rock, folk and country influences, blending a diverse repertoire of familiar covers with her own original music.

With more than two decades of singing experience, Brandy’s musical journey began at eight years old when she won her first singing competition. She later studied piano and classical singing and, as a teenager, became the youngest member of the South West Opera Company at the time.

As a young adult, Brandy packed her guitar and took her music on the road, learning songs and performing throughout her travels. Since then, she has appeared at local events, campdrafts, rodeos, weddings, private functions, pubs and festivals across the South West, Great Southern and Kimberley regions of Western Australia. Her musical journey has also taken her to Nashville, Tennessee, where she had the opportunity to perform in the heart of country music.

Brandy is known for her powerful, versatile voice and her ability to read a room. Whether she's getting a crowd on the dance floor with a full band, creating an intimate atmosphere with a stripped-back acoustic set, or surprising audiences with an unexpected arrangement, her performances are engaging, genuine and full of personality.

She also performs with South West cover band Broken Horses, bringing a lively mix of '90s-inspired rock, pop and country to pubs, festivals, private and community events.

Alongside performing, Brandy writes honest, story-driven songs inspired by real life. Her originals explore everything from love, heartbreak and country life to ADHD, mental health, resilience and the occasional beautifully chaotic chapter in between. Some songs invite listeners to laugh, some encourage them to reflect, and others simply remind them they're not alone. With a touch of wit, plenty of honesty and a knack for storytelling, Brandy's music celebrates both the messy and the meaningful moments that make us human.
