The 6 I’s Framework
Every horse, every person and every situation is different.
That means there can never be one method that works for everyone.
The purpose of The 6 I's isn't to tell you what to do.
It's to help you understand how to think.
Over the years I've realised that the people who consistently make good decisions with horses aren't the ones who know the most techniques.
They're the ones who know how to slow down, assess what's happening, ask better questions and choose the response that best fits the horse in front of them.
That's exactly what this framework is designed to help you do.
Whether you're starting a young horse, rebuilding confidence after a difficult experience, working through a behavioural challenge or simply wanting to become a better horse person, The 6 I's gives you a practical process you can come back to time and time again.
It isn't a checklist.
It isn't a training method.
It's a way of thinking.
No matter your discipline, experience level or the horse you're working with, this framework gives you a process to slow down, understand what's happening and move forward with confidence.
Each pillar builds on the one before it.
Rather than jumping straight to a solution, you'll learn to observe, understand, reflect and respond with purpose.
The 6 I's are designed to be completed in order.
Each module builds on the one before it, creating a practical framework for understanding yourself, your horse and the decisions you make together.
I encourage you to start with Module 1: Instinct and work through each lesson at your own pace.
Once you've completed the framework, you'll find yourself returning to individual modules whenever you're faced with a new challenge. Over time, The 6 I's become less of a course and more of a way of thinking.
Ready? Let's begin.
