Living Clean-ish & Green-ish

Becoming Clean-ish & Green-ish.

Reduce health and environmental anxiety.

There’s a lot of noise around health and the environment.

What to eat.
What not to eat.
What products to use.
What to avoid.
What’s toxic.
What’s sustainable.
What’s ruining your hormones.
What’s ruining the planet.

And if you care… even a little bit… it can start to feel overwhelming.

Because once you know, it’s hard to unknow.

And suddenly every choice feels loaded.

Every product.
Every meal.
Every decision.

Am I doing the right thing?
Am I doing enough?
Am I harming myself?
Am I harming the planet?

That kind of pressure doesn’t create change.
It creates anxiety.

I’ve found myself sitting in that space more than once.

Wanting to do better.
Be healthier.
Live more consciously.

But also feeling like unless I did it perfectly, it didn’t count.

And that’s where I think we get stuck.

Because the idea of overhauling your entire life…
your pantry, your bathroom, your routines, your habits…

It’s a lot.

And for most of us, it’s not realistic.

I was listening to Clean(ish) by Gin Stephens, and the idea of “clean-ish” really stayed. with me.

In Clean(ish), Gin Stephens talks about the idea that living “clean” doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

Instead of trying to overhaul your entire life overnight, she encourages a “clean-ish” approach, making small, manageable changes that reduce exposure to toxins where it’s realistic to do so.

It’s about progress, not perfection.

Choosing better options when you can, without guilt when you can’t.
Focusing on what matters most, instead of getting overwhelmed trying to do everything.

The goal isn’t to live perfectly…
it’s to live more consciously, in a way that’s sustainable long term.

Not perfect.
Not all or nothing.
Just… better where you can.

And that’s when I thought the same rule can apply to our approach to sustainability and the environment.

Clean-ish.
Green-ish.

Choosing the more natural option when it’s available.
Swapping things out slowly as they run out.
Being a bit more mindful of what I’m bringing into my home and my body.

Not because I’m trying to get it all right…
but because it feels good to try.

I think we underestimate how powerful small, consistent choices are.

One better product.
One less toxic swap.
One conscious decision at a time.

It adds up.

And more importantly… it’s sustainable.

Because you’re not burning yourself out trying to live up to an impossible standard.

The same goes for the planet.

You don’t have to be zero waste overnight.
You don’t have to get it perfect.

Just caring… and making small changes where you can… matters.

Bring your own bags sometimes.
Choose better quality where you can afford it.
Waste a little less.

It doesn’t have to be extreme to be meaningful and if you forget it’s OK.

For me, this way of living feels softer.

Less pressure.
Less guilt.
More awareness.

LESS ANXIETY!

And more trust that doing my bit… however small… is enough.

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t about perfection.

It’s about intention.

Clean-ish.
Green-ish.
