Live the Life of Your Dreams
Everything is a choice or rather, an accumulation of choices. Just because the world tells us we’re meant to get married, have a family, work a 9–5, take on a mortgage, and follow a set path, doesn’t mean that’s what we have to do.
I’ve always known I can’t live my life on someone else’s schedule, or in a way that simply works for other people. I’ve built my life around what works best for me and what I’m genuinely passionate about. That didn’t happen overnight it’s taken time, awareness, and a lot of conscious decision-making.
You are the curator of your life. You can make different choices and design a life that supports you, rather than settling for what society says is acceptable.
So ask yourself:
What is your definition of success?
What does your dream schedule look like?
Are you a morning person—or not at all?
Do you need solitude, or time around people?
Do you want to earn a living from something you truly care about?
Do you want to help others and make a difference?
I can only speak from my own experience, but perhaps it can show you what’s possible.
I need to work for myself, and I need to be in charge of my schedule. I need time alone to recharge, and I need space to do things that inspire me. I don’t want to work every day, so I don’t. It didn’t start out this way. It came from experience, trial and error, and slowly learning what doesn’t work for me.
Designing your own life makes people uncomfortable. It challenges their beliefs about what’s possible, and sometimes it looks like you’re breaking the rules. People often struggle with things they don’t understand or can’t yet imagine for themselves. But life isn’t about staying comfortable it’s about moving beyond limiting beliefs, and that takes courage and effort.
Whenever I start to feel burnt out or tired, I pause and ask myself what it means. Am I simply in a short season of effort that will soon ease, or is something in my day-to-day life asking to be adjusted so I can sustain the life I’m creating? When I feel restless, I ask what needs to be expressed. Usually it’s a sign I need to listen more deeply, reconnect with my creativity, or step out of the hustle culture I’ve unconsciously slipped into and come back to the present moment.
I’m a sensitive, deep person, and traditional structures don’t suit me. Over time, I’ve gently edited my life to reflect how I want to spend my days. It hasn’t been easy but it has been worth it. People are often surprised by the way I live and the choices I make.
I share this because I want you to know that you have choices too. You can make changes big or small that support who you are and how you want to live. A life designed with intention is always worth the effort.
Design the life of your dreams!
